All he did was made a chill video of him enjoying some juice whilst skating and listening to fleetwood mac. It blew up, they gave him a new truck, some juice, got recognized by Mick Fleetwood and even asked to work with him when covid is over. Now he has a following on tiktok and is now making some extra money on the side whilst also being recognized by a sizeable amount of people who are his fans. And this is just one small example of this happening. Back then people would make these projects simply to prove they were fans or a show of appreciation towards someone. No one had dreams of making it big over some fanart or fan project. This faggot saw how much Hololive influence can do for someone so he wanted a piece of the pie. Soundcloud is fine but he has a "buy button" under the song which links to his bandcamp where you name your price, you can say 0 but it's basically asking for money.
For spotify you gotta work together with a distributor to upload and you get paid in royalties and as far as I know there's no no-profit option there.
