I'm so confused by all this. They have a special description and channel, making them seem like they're a completely unique group or something, but we all know this never works. It didn't work with Gamers, it didn't work with Azki or Irys or Suisei, it didn't work with Miko (everyone forgets that), at the end of the day they just became normal vtubers like everyone else and everyone had to struggle to shove them into a group because they're like these lone satellites floating off to the side of the company for no reason. So why would they try doing this again?

However, it looks like Cover themselves know that, which is why it's
1. A five-person group.
2. They have a 7 shoved right into their logo and their debut was a countdown from 7.
So they're Gen 7. But they're not. But they will be, when they end up streaming like normal just like everyone else.

It also feels like Cover wants the Nijisanji audience. Advent is all black and pastel colors, which is weird, Hololive's normally super bright and colorful. Now this group has matching outfits. Why? Who likes that? Female viewers might like that in their men, drab colors and conformity, but guys like girls who are colorful, fantastic and unique. That's why NijiEN became less popular over time. They knew what they were doing with the first two gens. Then they went with drab old lady colors for Ethyria. Then they went with "everyone's a boarding school student" and, sorry, that's fucking boring. Who's deciding this shit? Are they braindead? Hire me, guys, my IQ is above 107, I can do a better job.

Part of what makes hololive so successful is that they have lots of other girls to interact with and they aren't always on the spot to stream. Isolating a new gen focused on music... their output is going to be really low and that will not be good for them. They'll have to interact with the other girls to stay relevant. So, a really I expect no difference in the end.

They are not going to get newer viewers through streaming since they already have streamer powerhouses like Miko, Pekora or Marine. New gens were never going to beat the old guard anyways because the vtuber market is already mature. Instead of diluting the hololive talent pool, they are trying to do different stuff, but they can't just call them hololive because
