You just figured this out? It took me a week on Twitch to realize the platform sucks total balls. Even if it didn't have all the shit you mentioned, the fact that Twitch is a NO GROWTH platform that actively nerfs your ability for potential growth by deleting your vods and cramming you into the very bottom of the search results (that hardly anyone looks at anyways because they'll just look at who's on the front page and pick one from there) makes it unusable. If you look at the people who are well known on Twitch, they all came from outside communities and brought their fanbase with them. This is what Twitch wants people to do.

I don't understand your problem. You say you like your following, why does the one from other vtubers matter to you? You can curate your chat and fanbase in pretty much any way you see fit. Just look at someone like Shondo. Despite being a 4view, her chat has almost none of the stereotypical shit on twitch. Besides, youtube is THE normalfag platform.

That is completely wrong. If you want to grow as an indie with streams, twitch is your only option. All the big names in the indie sphere stream primarily on twitch, and there is a good reason for that. Youtube is good if you use it in addition to your twitch channel, for VODs, clips, and such, but not as your primary streaming platform.
