I think it depends on the design, like her hands are clearly different from what her model looks like, and her model design is very fantasy-like, I don't hate irl3D but I don't want them removing every single semblance of immersion, young/pettan models are always a not irl3D for me because the real person is always bigger and/or has older looking hands. As much as someone like Hacchama revealing her gorilla face is a very cute clip, I could never actually watch a vtuber like that because it's impossible to take them seriously. Handcams in general fall into this category for me but I just don't watch them. The problem isn't the skin, it's the 3D-aspect altogether but if they are going to do 3D, I would prefer they put in some effort to maintain some illusion like wearing clothes that match their outfit or even Luna's stream where she has her camera placed perfectly so it matches her vtuber scenario onscreen (too bad her model doesn't track properly). If they want to do real-life streams and still pretend to be a vtuber, I think the route of all those parties or cooking streams where you hear them do it offscreen is the best. Like Ina cleaning up her trash would not be better if it came with a handcam.

One thing I've noticed with the glove autism it that it tends to make shit harder to do, especially when you're wearing two or more layers and putting in a little extra effort to keep kayfabe like painted nails or custom sleeves is neat

She just has the camera cropped perfectly, she's streaming right now. The problem is it doesn't work proportionally and her model isn't tracked well but when she had technical difficulties for a bit she turned off her camera and there was a drawn electone on the screen in the exact same position as the real one is when she turns the camera on. The drawing it looks fine but the real one looks off because she's clearly not sitting at the same angle as her model so her hands come from a different angle.
