I guess my real beef is where Cover seems to believe the future is musically in Hololive. Just on the JP side of things: MiComet, Towa, Aqua, Subaru, the shrine goddess group (and other Gamers who fit with those people), and Gen 3 seem to be their priorities with Botan being the big sponsoship gamer they are banking on so she gets a lot of showtime as well. Nene feels left out of this mix with Gen 5 and noodle sponsoships being her thing.

I find the Cover produced stuff just unreliable and too far and few between. All solo lives are talent driven, but also have some requirements tied to them (specifically, do you have enough originals to put out an album along side it). All solo songs are also talent driven, Cover doesn't pay for that unless you are a VSinger. But you can certainly do it without them, just look at Polka.
If you look at any of the successful musical holos, they all got there on their own initiative. So I don't feel (too) bad if Cover isn't fully promoting my favorite.

According to Botan's stream last night (now member-only), Blue Clapper wasn't meant to be 5th Gen's theme song; it was originally just another part of Bloom. But since they were brand-new at the time and didn't quite have any connections with other members yet, they were given it so they could at least be a part of the project.
