That’s the thing about the holobox. It discourages grifters. Male collabs from people like Towa are tolerated as long as you return to the holobox. Overall, I think this is why Hololive is able to stand out, since they’ve made it so that members are encouraged to do things to help the corpo rather than interact with grifters and shit up the brand.

Assuming you’re not just baiting, I was like you when Tempus debuted. I got sick of the lack of streams, the stagnation, and the boys were funny. Difference was, I could not develop any parasocial attachment and just couldn’t be bothered to keep watching streams. Also, I only ever watched males like 25% of the time at most but my recommendations were totally fucked by that until I stopped.
I think Vesper did his best to capture that group of disenchanted holofags at a time when HoloEN was really weak, it was a bunch of shitflinging between homobeggars and unicorns, and the only sense of novelty from this endless cycle was Tempus.
It didn’t work for me because at most, I thought of Vesper as maybe a bro who happens to be a vtuber, when YouTube thought it meant I wanted to watch males. I’m not going to regularly use private browsing to watch one male vtuber’s streams.
Instead I migrated to small corpos to keep the algorithm filled with girls, and that’s why I decided to come back for Advent.
