Fauna's issue is that when going late, her skills are trash. Whisper still gets used up before the Headphones will proc, unless its been fixed, but her guardian tree ability does not proc fast enough without her whisper even if youre sitting in the healing circle so her damage goes down quite a bit.

Yep, I definitely felt that Whisperer is a pretty weak skill when the yagoos pop up since at that point you are constantly being hit which does not allow you to build up its stacks. No stacks = no heals from Whisperer = no additional procs with guardian tree.
On the other hand, Mel's Acerola Juice skill synergizes extremely well with Jingisukan. It basically gives her constant Lifesteal with no downtime which lets her flood the screen with bats.

The game has a REALLY BAD save system implementation. No proper A/B saves (there is an attempt in the game code, it doesn't work), and it either keeps the save file open at all times, or opens it for writing all the time.

Basically a recipe for any power failure or crash to cause file corruption and total data loss. The cloud wouldn't save you - if a save gets corrupted, it'll get wiped, and the wipe would propagate all the way into the cloud.

It's 4% of your current level every 2 seconds, assuming you don't get hit, so that's a free level every 50 seconds. I don't know if it interacts with glasses or not, but if it does then it gets better. Regardless its 'worth' is determined by how much extra you'd get from it. Assuming you have it by 5 minutes, that's 18 extra levels by the 20 minute mark, making it worth (based on stat ups per level):
~144% ATK
~90% HASTE
~54% CRIT
Or some combination of the above. That's better than any item that provides a flat value, so as long as you can reliably avoid getting hit, and get it early enough, it's very worth desu.

What are you on about? blacksmith goggles is probably the worst item in the game because it does nothing for you without an anvil and you can get pretty screwed RNG wise because of it. Yes its useful. If you look at the leaderboards youll see people have about ~20-30 more levels compared to others on equal times and thats due to the coat. Its main problem is that its effectiveness will obviously go down past 30-32 minutes when you start taking more damage consistently. You dont really need the shield, thats up to you. Its objectively worse than the glasses though, so if youre ever going to pick between coat or glasses, glasses should always be the pickup.

Try to stick to close-range weapons, to maximize that EXP buff. Hell try building around the Headband. Also she actively wants to get hit semi-consistently, so consider Headphones or Bandage or Pillow or Breastplate or Plushie for that. On the flipside avoid Hat, Shades, Milk, Sake & Labcoat for those same reasons.
Given how one Skill buffs Speed, one buffs Haste and one grants I-frames, I'm pretty sure she's supposed to be a hit-and-run whirling dervish. Proccing the AT Field is like chucking a coked-up honey badger into a rush-hour subway car.
