Same oshi. The miss mommy memes made me subconsciously click on her here and there back when she was building her MC farms. Then her spooktober saved halloween and made me realize how great she is. Suddenly I also found myself missing her during new years, like the saps. I'm ashamed it took me this long to oshihen out of my sunk cost for myth, or how I wasn't open enough to appreciate her debut era. I've since gone back and realized she was an angel right from the start.

It was the vampire survivors stream for me. I had been going back and forth between Gura, Mumei, and Fauna but I just really appreciated Fauna's quirks. She's a sweaty gamer but also has the awareness that being a sweaty gamer is not always conducive to a fun environment with friends, which is why I think she was so upset about being called out about winning in the racing game. She is cognizant of herself being a sweaty gamer but in this instance, it was an unwarranted perception from her view.
In essence, she's just like me.

I first checked out Hololive in the summer of 2020 few days before the holocaust. During the first weeks of August I started watching Coco but at some I found about Marine. The first clip I saw which was the one where Aqua had to guess which one in the call is the real Marine which got me curious about her. I don't remember what the next clip was but I remember the sensation where everything just clicked and I realized that I found the one I'm into. It might've been the one where she talks about the deep sea and UFOs. For some reason it was a particularly heartaching picture for me for a long time whenever I thought about Marine at her old job, staring at the sky, looking for UFOs and losing track of time with garbage bags still in her hands.
Then I started watching her streams and it became 100% irreversible that Marine was my now oshi. Some memorable moments from that August (and roughly around that time period) include the whole Shion debacle in their offcollab, Marine being comforted by Coco and Kanata in a off-collab, Marine's participation in Coco's 3D stream, my first time experiencing a Marine menhera episode and her crying, and finally the hilarious Clubhouse 51 collab with Pekora. In retrospect, what a time to discover Marine!
And only know that I'm writing this I realize that it's been 3 years since then...

Similar experience that I first looked further into Vtubers when Coco debuted and ended up finding Marine through a clip were she played Touhou.
Don't know at what point I considered her my Oshi, it just slowly happened because she is similar to me and everything about her is very relatable.
These days I rather consider her as my Oshi because she outputs the content I like the most. But I do want to marry her for real purely based on her real personsality.

When Myth debuted I didn't really have much interest, I preferred continuing my reps and understanding 25% of what JPs said
I only subbed to Gura because I was already familiar with her like a lot of people, but I caught a collab with Watson and something about her voice just immediately wrapped itself around my brain
It hit all the right spots and I was immediately hooked on listening to whatever she had to say
And then her first karaoke she opens with Kiss Me which is a song I'm incredibly fond of and teleports me right back to my childhood
So much about her, her hobbies, music tastes, contrarian personality, her game preferences, etc all of it felt like it was designed specifically to target me, as silly as it sounds
There wasn't even a question of whether she was oshi, it just happened so naturally
That was a different time and a different Ame though

same oshi, I was a fan of her PL before holo but didn't watch her streams much as I don't use twitch and I didn't know about her reincarnation until after at least 6 months. I actually started watching her streams and not just the ASMR a few months after, I cant say when she became my oshi, probably before I even knew what an oshi was, but I wouldn't have it any other way.
