Kusogaki needs tons of speed, beetle and a good array of weapons. If you're trying to do some weird ass tanky stuff or solo weapon shenanigans, don't. Just get headphones and try to grab a full roster of weapons, as her Special gets incrementally more damage the more weapons you have equipped. Good candidates for weapons are stuff like Idol Live, Asacoco (and any collabs/variations of those). Knockback and any form of control is also strong, as Shion has very little inbuilt options for those.

Teleports are really annoying, you could rework them to instead teleport enemies away (kind of knockback), then damage them. No more AoE on them (Garlic already serves as AoE), but you could spawn more of them at once (like up to 5)
Garlic isn't really that bad, final radius is pretty forgiving.
Easy fix for ultimate - let player to press the button again to instantly drop when you just want to deal damage.
Maybe add synergy with teleports to make them shoot bolts every time you hit them with your main? When you hit any teleport it stops your bolts, but all of them shoot out the same amount of bolts.

The garlic and teleports are fine as is, they are already a ridiculous source of damage and if you can spend the last 1.5 minutes setting up, you can just place teleporters off screen and juggle between two safe spots, it's even better on scrolling stages. My biggest gripe with Shion is the fact that her Special is tied to weapon limit, meaning that full weapon limit guts her special damage, making certain types of runs very limiting for her.

I've never come across the later stages where you stand still, unless you're playing some AFK style and Shion simply doesn't work that way. The entire point of the teleporters is to work in a way where you're constantly switching between two points of the stage (unless you're doing patterns) and chipping away at the enemies that were close to you via the teleporter you left, then they have 8 seconds to haul their ass towards you and the process then repeats. In some stages, with proper play you can technically put so much space between your teleporters that they'll only increase in value as endless rolls towards 30 minutes (and above)

How am I supposed to use Anya's sleeping channel properly? It seems strong as hell but I can't seem to figure out how to really abuse it.

I just did a run as Hachama where I had my attack stat pumped basically as high as I thought it could go. 260% base, and with 45% from Glasses, 80% from Injection, 65% from Piki, 1.3x from Gorilla, and I still get to the 30 minute mark and the Yagoos instantly kill me despite being able to basically afk up until that point. On the leaderboards, I still see people pushing 35+ minutes. Am I missing something in regards to actually getting attack high enough to clear or is this just bullshit and the thing to actually do is forsake attack entirely and just get all survivability items?

Anon me saying stat pumping doesn't mean you need to go all in to %Atk, even getting Injection Asacoco in the process. If you want to do that then the usual 4 collabs will get you further.
This is kinda obvious, but solo weapon even with Piman and Solo Stamp will never outdps a 3 collabs+1 super collab run. You need to find a balance of HP and Atk so you stay alive as long as possible while still making it possible to kill the Yagoos nearest to you.
So to summarize:

I mean, yeah, I did do four collab weapons. I had Jing for regen and max HP bonus for the Piki, then Inhale IceWave and Concert. Last item was Plushie because I thought Jing + Plush + her passive damage reduction and heal would be enough to sustain, assuming that I was actually able to kill the Yagoos, but I got killed instantly despite plush and 275 HP. This is what makes me think there isn't really a combination of attack items that will cause her to kill fast enough and that you should just go all defensive/knockback

275 HP really isn’t enough, when I play Subaru or Kiara, I’m pushing at least 500-700. You really need to use anvils to pump your weapon of choice. Even just a +10 weapon lets you kill Yagoos for a while. Stamps can also help with survivability since there’s extra sources of stuns, heals and damage that can help. That said, the benefits you get from weapon upgrades vary. Multi-hit melee gets the biggest boost from them, although that weapon type isn’t very common.

You'd be surprised at how high you can get with Super Glasses, Labcoat, and Super Limiter. Doesn't necessarily mean you get super high score from that though.
Also for Choco it's not exactly this game, but in this 0.6 update. The addition of Jingisukan and Beetle gives her the ability to never die with her innate critical heal while demolishing everything around her with the constant base 400% Crit Damage. She only needs to pump level up in HP and Atk.

i'm not sure if its from needing to reserve an item slot for idol dress or something else.
what is the best way to build her for farming? what items / stats?

Hard 3 has finally been defeated with Mr. Koro. I'm really glad I looked on the thread to see how important grabbing stats and main weaponry was. I wish I could have just rejected the level up weapons towards the end since I had the solo badge on. Also, you really need fucking Halu on these later difficulty levels just to get enough XP to put up a fight.

So Reine's kit is broken currently, regarding the haste, right? Her Wind Magic seems to indicate it should only give +20 haste max, but it actually seems to give +20 per level, so you end up with an incredible +60 haste.
