Neither Cover nor UMG will give too much of a fuck about YT views. Getting decent views on YT is good, but that'd be a bonus - the most important thing is how well her music sell and she's doing more than fine there (or most singers would have been failures) - see picrel
It's basically the same reason why even though Irys's song views on YT are relatively low (compared to big guns like Suisei, Mori or Marine) but Cover still happily let her record new songs now and then. Her EP still topped charts and she was within top 50 on Ototoy by the end of last year. Mori will be way more than fine

The song is unironically terrible. I say that as someone who hates Mori and has been listening to Reol for a decade. If the song didn't suck, I would have bit my lip and said so.

I think Mori's collab songs with Boogie Voxx are decent (CROWN is a pretty damn good song). Her cover of GETCHA with Suisei is probably one of the better ones out there. Kira Killer (her song with ZUTOMAYO) is actually a pretty damn good song, but it would also be just as good without Mori. The funniest thing, if you watch ZUTOMAYO Road Game (their concert from January with Mori's appearance), they kept her on the stage for a second song (Inside Joke). But they didn't actually let her sing in it. She's just there to hype up the crowd, making grunts and cheering noises and saying things like "YEAH!" or "Let's go!" I guess they also knew that she can't sing either.

The other anon was talking about Cover "realizing Mori's popularity was just a fluke" because of her YT song views. I simply pointed out that YT views don't really matter that much to corpos (Cover / UMG). They are the icing, not the cake. I wasn't arguing whether Mori (or her song) was or wasn't a good singer / song.

One is a song done as a passion project by an ex-idol who just wanted and has been talking about forming an themed group for years in Hololive with other members. People loved their interactions and wanted to see them achive things as an official unit. They got the chance and now everyone from the 5 girls respective fanbases is coming together to celebrate that they did it and are happy.
The other is just another song released by Mori (who puts out a ton of music) and some literal who outside the company. It's unfair to compare them.
