With the huge streaming boom in 2020 google could have invested in a modernization of their streaming front end, they could have revved up the algo to boost vtubers much higher then they went. They still want the superchat money of course but if they simply invested in a front end rework and pushed vtubers harder while tweaking the algo they would have made twitch scared. I would rate the streams so far as successful. Scuffed to shit, sure, but they still went well in terms of delivery otherwise - the debuts are fine as vods. Viewers are there because they want spend time with the streamer and are happy to tolerate some technical issues, and the mic issue ain't that much of a filter.
