I unironically think it's one of the greatest pieces of literature of our time: it has a perfect representation of trauma, fun moments and action are woven together seamlessly, and most importantly, it has an actual ending.

Well, they are called Light Novels because the language they use is typically easy enough to pick up, no? I feel like that was the explanation anyhow. So I wouldn't expect world class award winning narratives. They're just really enjoyable and offer a lot of fun imaginative worlds, and I like seeing how the authors can take a concept that sounds somewhat silly and outlandish and flesh it out to be way better than it has any right being, like that vending machine isekai that has an anime airing right now. It's quite well thought out and the author knows their subject matter, and I appreciate that.
