While this is true logically, a good game is a good game and the same rules will pretty much always apply. Spyro is quick paced and looks nice. Resident Evil is a horror game. Games like that will always be good to stream.
Now if you're playing a slow paced pre-PS1 era puzzle game, that will probably not do as well, same as if you played a modern slow paced puzzle game. As for JRPGs, I should specify that it really depends on how much talking there is. For example, despite being a Soulslike, I wouldn't stream Code Vein because there is just cutscene after cutscene after cutscene. This means less opportunity for you to commentate, and your viewers basically have to just wait it out. Same reason Yakuza is a debuff despite them genuinely good games.

Isn't auditioning for a corpo kind of dumb if they already want you to have "experience" as a vtuber? which is the exact same as streaming normally but you add the model to OBS like you would add any other graphics/overlays btw, there's zero things complicated about it. I don't think investing in a model, even a shitty one that sets you back a few hundred bucks, is a smart thing to do just to increase your chances of getting hired by 0.00000001% since everyone and their moms are applying to everywhere for a chance to stream to some form of a guaranteed audience.
