Omori certainly seemed overhyped in some way but also lost a lot of hype because it took so long.
I came to it with no backknowledge of that and no expectations and it was one of the best games I played in recent years vibe and plotwise. Though I am a sucker for SNES-like games since I grew up with them.

I waited since 2014 for this game, and it was worth it. It really does have that old Tumblr art board atmosphere mixed with the Earthbound/RPGMaker aesthetics that was pretty popular among internet artists 10 years ago. I know Omocat stated how the game was “a time capsule” compared to other indie games coming out around the same time, but I love it for that given the state of games and even art on the internet nowadays.

Fighting Sepiroth and Lingering Will without beating them is retarded, nobody would want to see a streamer just give up and leave. Even then just getting to them easily doubles the play time of the game.
Nobody wants to watch item/level grinding for hours either, so the best option is just to beat the main story and bail. She's not gonna beat Sepiroth if she spent hours getting CUM GUARDIAN'd. She's not gonna go 100% the game just to fight Lingering Will. It's just not happening. The game requires WAY too much grinding, it's not the streamer's fault for not wanting to put up with that shit.
