I think Nene's comments about her concerns regarding opsec and her characterizing herself as a shy or isolationist person stand in, if not contradiction then contrast to what we know and what she shares about her actual conduct when interfacing in public spaces. I think it's reasonable for people to become confused or frustrated by this.
What the motivations might be for why this is the case is the speculation. It could very well be that the places where she draws the lines around these boxes in her mind is just different from where most men do and she doesn't see it as an inconsistency. I don't say this just to throw more assumptions into the race just with a positive spin but to illustrate that it's easy to make up reasons for why things may be the way they are especially when dealing with other people who, unfortunately we cannot mind-read.
Nene said she originally planned to have lots of photos and videos but had technical issues. Remember, Nene was talking about wanting to show pictures and videos from her time in Japan from long before she got an a plane to go there.
Again, I don't want to sound like I'm trying to to just counter rrat and shift the narrative. If you feel convinced of your perspective then stay convinced, don't just pretend something you think is true isn't true. I think at the heart of it all, your first sentence is where my true problem with this situation lies. How she acts vs how she says she acts is a large part of everyone's grief with this situation. Cosplaying and being a booth girl is far from how she describes her introverted self I think it becomes very hard to see Nene doing such, even knowing her past. Most of this probably has to do with that disconnect. Being more frank with how she is in person would make the situation a lot better.
