Was just going to add some light flares and smoke (think any of Mori's MVs), maybe some scales as well (just simple pans or zooms in on the artwork, very similar to what you already did). I could even add lyrics too and make it even more karaoke-like if I can find the same font they use in Yakuza. Just trying to do anything I can to help make this project into something we can all be proud to show Kaichou.

/v/ the musical: the most popular of all of the groups for sure both among those on 4chan and those in the mainstream. They are extremely organized. They must have some sort of discord like entity that helps them coordinate mixing, editing, auditions for singing parts, and writers for parody lyrics because they look very high effort. I don't know what it is, but singing for Coco no matter how shit the quality was, kind of moved me into the acceptance phase. This whole thing made me feel hopeful(?) for Kaichou. I don't know how to describe it. I guess it's solace.

I've made some updates to the video and fixed some fx. I'm doing a coco montage during the melancholic instrumental in the middle starting from debut till her recent performance of iconic moments. I've yet to receive any art to fill those two openings near the beginning though. I'm just going to hold out hope they are working on them as we speak and they will post their updated/new work sometime this week. if I don't get anything, I'm just going to reuse more scenes or put a couple coco clips in. it is what it is.

I have some background noise from my computers case fans (this thing is a few years old and I don't even know if I can turn them off), do you want me to try to use Audacity's noise reduction and try to take off some of the background noise? I don't have any experience with music stuff but I can apply what seems to be a very light setting (6 dB reduction, sensitivity ~2, 0 frequency smoothing) and get rid of what sounds like most of the noise.

Ahh, I know what the problem is. The files are using a HEVC (h265) codec. Windows doesn't natively support it, so when you try to open it, it prompts you to buy the license for the codec. Meanwhile mpv is a non-american program, so they don't have to conform to the US licensing regulations, so they just added support for it to their player, which is an easy way to circumvent this on a windows machine. I know it's outdated and file sizes are larger, but if you want to have no problem with compatibility, select for H264 if you want to share it.

I spent a few hours writing this, so I think its pretty thorough. If you only want to do mixing and mastering, I have no idea where you can get stems to practice on for free, so I included resources for music production and sound design for you to make your own stuff. All the stems I found online were paid. One bit of advice I forgot to include: stay away from most music youtube channels if you have poor discipline, because you can get stuck watching videos and not doing anything. Goes for any creative hobby you might have. Use youtube when you need it. Keep in mind that this isn't some kind of master list that you have to follow absolutely. It's just stuff I've picked up that may or may not apply to you. Someone more experienced than me might think some of the stuff I wrote is dumb, but it's worked for me.

You shouldn't worry about how you sound in this project, there's more than 150 people singing, you won't even be able to make yourself out. A few very good submissions are basically buried, too, in projects like these individual ability really doesn't stand out. The whole point is the community
However, if you really want to improve singing, then the best i can do is tell you that there's no real guide, i suggest simply doing it a lot. Listen to the music you want to sing to until you memorize how it sounds, learn through trial and error how to produce each note and practice going from one to the next untill you can do it naturally.
Sing with your chest, not your lips, an try to find that sweet spot where you can change tonality quickly
That's all, really.

I wanted to contribute, but I guess I'm lazy(?), and I'm not that good at singing, but I'll be looking forward to what you guys have made!

Have a pop filter. Other than that I don't think there's much you can do about your mic. Try inhaling through your nose to be quieter or starting off with more air and having bigger inhales to make them less pronounced. You should also stand when you sing, heard it's an easy buff
