I know I shouldn't bite, but I saw way too many comments about Fauna and Shiori being apparently very similar, and how there are supposedly tons of saplings in her thread, or trying to push them together because they could fit in collab. Why? The only similarity would be them going on tangents, but that two of them have completely different feel, with Shiori being actually uncomfortably autistic. I also dislike her forced jokes like "after black you don't go back", her "bottom" narrative for her genmates, or sending incest comments at FuwaMoco among other things. She is just trying to be as controversial as possible, and not sure if I want Fauna getting influenced by any of that. At this point Shiori's vague collab stance is the least of my issues, I just dislike her approach to vtubing, and I simply can't understand what do people see in her. Just that raunchy, stupid humor? Shiori is leaning into kayfabe, and she is definitely both quite blunt and nervous right now. But this will change over time, and I think she's a much better fit for one-on-one collabs with people she's comfortable with.
I recommend reading her crunchyroll interview. While there is some chuuni stuff at the beginning, she seems to share Fauna's kindness if you read the final parts. She just doesn't express it the same way.

Quite a few saplings are there, but we stopped talking about it due to fanbase war reasons. I doubt we got many mommyfags, the saplings there have all been very well behaved as far as I could tell.
But it's still so early. Within the next 6 months we'll see who sticks with her and not, and how she actually turns out to be. I wish people would be more patient with their judgement. It's not like people were fair to Fauna at debut either.
