There's no rule, you can bake a thread right at the bump limit. I used to make /vg/ OPs for /xivg/, /tekgen/, /wowg/. inadvertently some sperg will come along and cry about waiting til page 10 but it's never, never, never been a real rule enforced in any kind of way at all and this sperg usually gets really butthurt and starts engaging in thread wars and pushing how fast they can post a new OP even before bump limit to "spite" the regular thread maker, but they eventually get bored. there is no justification or reasoning beyond a semblance of etiquette that no one cares for, most of them are just a little butthurt about not controlling the OP for the short amount of time they're able to focus on it and deeply believe the content of the OP must conform to their whims and is very important for outward facing metrics and that no one thing or entity should ever dominate the OP. you know, autism.

I used to engage in OP wars for /wfg/ and /acg/ and I witnessed them in /ms2g/, there were absolutely threads getting deleted for being made too early. I played defense, stopping people from doing things like adding Discord servers to the OP or removing the thread's clan information because of some autistic rivalry. Maybe things were different when you were around, but when I was around you got your shit slapped for baking before page 10. And here in /lig/ there was a period of about half a year where we went through only four threads a day and I was the sole baker, if I didn't make the thread then it wouldn't get made. There were people that would get upset at me for baking right at page 10 instead of waiting until near death, and I would sometimes respond by talking about how things were done in /vg/. That's how this autism made it to /lig/

You don't even have to eat less, necessarily. Just eat better stuff. I switched to Mediterranean diet half a year ago and started incorporating whole grains and plant/seed oils into my diet while cutting back on red meat and sugar and I'm down 32 pounds eating as much as I always have. The ingredients of your food matters way more than how much of it you're putting away.

I eat a lot of very fatty foods and I'm 33, still in great shape without going to the gym everyday.
Lots of meats, vegetables, cheese, baked potatoes with sour cream, real butter, bacon, greens on the side 100% of the time. Love lasagna, fresh barbecue pork, whatever. It's not always about eating healthy, you can eat fatty shit in moderation. Example: You might lose weight if you stop drinking soda if you drink a bunch of them usually. Everyone is different.

Very true, but I had held my previous weight consistently for like 4-5 years and a change in ingredients was all it took for it to start falling off. I'm still eating pasta, tacos, ham & cheese omelets, whatever. I'm just making them with different stuff. Although I still eat like shit on the weekend. Eating frozen eggrolls and instant ramen in about 15 minutes.

Oh, that's awesome. I think my problem was poor-brain habits. I didn't like to leave a plate with food on it. I would force myself to eat everything even if I was full. Used to drink a lot of energy drinks or sugary drinks at least, but I cut both of those out and I'm in great shape now even when I slack on exercise (I don't go to the gym, but I have some home gym equipment, mostly bodyweight stuff/calisthenics stuff). I actually get complimented by people sometimes. It's wild. Good luck to any of you guys looking to lose weight. Wishing yall the best. It's worth it.

Understandable. I still have this same problem. But now I've gotten used to the portions, which creates another problem. But my diet's getting me fuller faster now, so I'm cutting back a little compared to before. Hoping that trend continues.
