I'm definitely glad that Advent came along and are engaging enough to finally watch over any random NijiEN girl's stream. Council didn't have that for me except for Fauna.
Also I stopped hating most of the people in NijiEN when it became increasingly clear that a lot of the members are being actively hurt by shitty management and overwork that ends up being nothing. So much of Nijisanji's negative perception is due to garbage management and the talents are the ones who have to take it on the chin.

It really was frustrating reading Riku's response during the recent shareholder Q&A , it showed that he really doesn't understand or care why some of their good talents are leaving the company. I think it's a bit overdone, and I don't like how people shit on the livers and what they brought to vtubing.
On the other hand I genuinely hate the company for how it's ran and I find a lot of their content unappealing (even hyped stuff like koshien and some of their 3d performances). I haven't watched them regularly since my Niji oshi graduated, and I don't feel bad for them getting shit on when they fuck up (so, all the time).

God, I miss the Lazusydia days. Seems like management was really aiming for the “burnt-out Hololive” audience for those first two waves, with Pomu, Elira, and Rosemi having a sense of respect and professionalism when it came to Vtuber culture. Selen less so, but she was still a hell of an entertainer, and she knew how to make good vibes and keep idpol shit out of her content. Finana was little more than coomer clipbait, but she hadn’t been groomed by her own discord yet, and Enna wasn’t around to corrupt her, so she mostly had good influences around her at the time. And Petra… was… cute? Inoffensive then, inoffensive now.

Nevertheless, the whole group was just pure entertainment, good vibes, and escapism. It was like the active chat and production values of HoloEN, with the intimacy and freedom of a small corpo; the best of both worlds. Members jumping into each other’s chats for impromptu collabs was a refreshing idea at the time compared to HoloEN’s stiffer collab structure, and worked great back when there weren’t any members you actively wanted to avoid. Shit like the Rosemi game show, Selen’s Phasmo marathon, the zatsu before the Lunch Lady stream, were all fond memories for me, and they still are. I’d kill to see another corpo give me that kind of experience again, maybe a small startup one, with the level of professionalism and member chemistry Lazusydia used to have.
