It's not even just Kiara. Reine, Kaela, Vesper, and Watame also stream deep into the night - not every day, but still pretty frequently - and Cover can see all the metrics over such a long period.
The hard truth is that part of hololive's safety net is where people will mindlessly tune in simply because it's a hololive stream, even if they aren't particularly interested in the stream's content. Just as background noise, or to keep up with happenings indirectly. That would be the baseline to measure interest for a market - the basic level of brand power. The sheeple quota, if you're feeling harsh.
And yet, Europeans, by not contributing views to any of these holos, can only be at best interpreted as discerning consumers. Give us tasty food, they say, turning their noses up at the meagre fare offered even as - by their own supposed admission - they starve for years. Even in the most charitable analysis, that means hololive's inherent brand power is at rock bottom there. They can't even meet that threshold.
So Cover says "tough crowd" and withdraws. They dipped a toe in the pool and found it freezing compared to literally everywhere else - why take risks there instead of elsewhere?

So the numbers of English speakers between the continents are similar yet Europe gives way way way less money. So the idea of giving someone a tip for doing a good job and entertaining you for a couple hours is not as big there and that seems to really-show in the disproportionate income to Cover between the continents.

Here's the bad news, the European Union is being culturally and economically hegemonised by the US. The far eastern opening that was very popular 20-30 years ago has been almost completely undermined by the new policy of the Union towards external markets. The whole Russian-Chinese conflict is about dividing the Eurasian region. So if I buy merchandize I have to pay 2x 3x more because they want to make trade impossible with extra high taxes..
