Probably around 3-4k at this point? Building a PC from scratch (didn't have one), mic, internet upgrade, mic upgrade, various things related to the actual streaming setup, etc. With the exception of actually getting an iphone to use my L2D when it's finished in the coming months, I haven't really purchased anything I wouldn't have even if I had never started streaming. If anything, I'd say that becoming a vtuber just gave me motivation to stop being as lazy and improve my life a bit.

Vroid lil bit scuff looking and require a lot of stuff to make it look less default but it's free and very flexible.
Vroid Studio to create one (don't forget to for on texture, it helps a lot). Unity to work on more blendshapes.
Vnyan - a good software for running 3D models and interactions, also decent tracking due webcamera only.
Blender is hard for newbies, but truly superior. If you want to start faster you can create a Vroid, make it acceptable enough for the beginning and learn blender to create a good model.

I've seen this happen to some people. One in particular keeps getting up to the 50-60 ccv then sells off everything and starts a new account like they're having an identity melt down. Depends on a lot of factors. I am an extreme introvert so I get socially overwhelmed quickly. So really blabbery loud streams aimed at zoomers with 0 attention span wear me out QUICK. But chill streams with less stimulus but just calm chatting are streams I can watch for hours. Of course even those don't have minutes of dead air, but chatting at a low calm pace with chill vibes and leaving space for the game sounds/cutscenes or just generally allowing gaps in stimulus here and there to allow the atmosphere to permeate "the room" are ideal.
