Sorry for the delay, posting pics. This shot specifically had to be taken without anyone in it...

The turnout was pretty disappointing but not all that surprising considering covid and the lockdown cancellations.

That said there was some nice stuff on sale and it was nice to get a bit of everything from almost everyone there.

Also I ended up getting one of the later tickets so it's possible some stalls had already sold out and left, but I doubt it.

It's not really surprising. Most nips go to Nijisanji conventions rather than hololive. Merch wise, Holo isn't a good sell.

And now onto purchases. The catalog is pretty nice quality considering the size of the event, but it was depressing to see how many were planned to be there versus how many showed up...

You do know that this is not the first Holoket, right? The previous one was pretty successful. The timing for this one is unfortunate due to Covid.

I unfortunately didn't get any direct shots of the stalls or circle staff due to regulations, which is why I took the photos of the merch from off-venue. Also please excuse the poor quality of these shots as I don't have much room or good lighting for this stuff.

There was more HoloEN (or at least Gura) stuff than I would've anticipated, which was nice.

And a decent range of doujinshi and artbooks but no doujinsoft, fanime or anything like that. I'm not that surprised but it would've been nice.

And of course the eromanga. Some decent stuff, some not so great stuff, the only Gura doujin is unfortunately not amazing in terms of artwork. The Shion ones are pretty damn nice though.

There's actually more conventions lined up, there's another Hololive one in March (Holocarnival 3, I believe), a general vtuber one in April and of course Sameket in a few weeks. I'm probably only going to Sameket though, this one took a decent chunk out of my paycheck so I can't really afford to go to more than that any time soon.

Unfortunately the guy in question wasn't actually there because he's from Taiwan or something, shame because it would've been nice to talk to him.

Including the ticket for admission and the catalog, a little under 30K yen. Not cheap, but not something I regret, it's not often that I get the chance to get that kind of stuff, not all of it makes it through to resellers like Melon Books or Toranoana, and even if they do finding them can be annoying.
