Follow AnimatedBae anon's lead and tried animatediff-cli got it up and running on a 3070ti.
Followed this redditor's instructions, run into a few snags but it works and grabs everything you need.

Finally got a way to make non flickering gifs after trying out a bunch of other methods that lead to nowhere
I can make them at 512x600, then I grab the frames and img2img them to upscale and to add better details then EZgif them to merge

Movement is random, but I think I can get anything/setting just like a normal prompt so I don't need to scrounge for gifs or animations to replace characters. Certainly gonna be a fun new toy.

Prompt relies on tags from danbooru, if the tag doesn't exist then the AI won't really know what to do. Dropped ice cream is not a common thing artist make so you can't expect AI to know it. Best we can do is have the character crawling and sticking their tongue out and hope the AI puts some ice cream on the ground. Prompters need to be a bit creative with the tags and improve sometimes.

For my rig 3070ti at 512x600 for one of these 3mins? You can edit the config and queue up as many as you want, I have 10 different prompts right now and it just makes them one by one. Upscaling img2img these 16 frames maybe another 3 mins. Ezgif upload and merge 3mins? If I'm paying attention I guess 10 mins to make one. I'm sure I'll can setup a way to queue the upscaling process, tossing them in EZgif can be done in parallel.

Have a new-ish mix, will still get that washed colour every few gens that I usually curate out. Had a bit of a stint trying to merge my own vae to fix it but it amounted to nothing. Some of the gens lately I'm starting to like it more though, good tummy, not as good as some of the anons here but I suppose my model can do a little bit of everything as a trade off to getting certain body details perfect.

I've mostly been bashing models and observing the results. I did try out the supermerger and had some initial good results (picrel) before the mix just decided to completely fall apart and shit itself.
The main problem I had with the supermerger was that it didn't make much sense to use on the final step of the mix because then I just couldn't tweak the lora at all since it was built in. Maybe I should try mixing loras in earlier...

That's a valid point, as long as you don't mind people not posting here, and all this started from someone asking why the threads slowed down so much. (And I understand this isn't really the point you're making, I'm just staking the chance to argue my point by replying to your post)
Even if I got all the validation I could possibly need from the process of making gens, I still have no reason to go out of my way to post them in a community if I get 0 interactions.
It doesn't matter if people forget to reply, It doesn't matter if the requester meta is "drop a request and check back in 3 days", this is an interaction between two parties and if one doesn't hold up their end of the bargain the system stops working, I can get more ideas from scrolling a booru for 15 minutes than I get in 3 days worth of anchors so that aspect really isn't worth much, there needs to be some sort of value in taking requests or of course people are just gonna stop participating. Why would I bother coming to post on this clunky ass site if the end result ends up being roughly similar to uploading stuff to my google drive? People aren't expecting much here, getting some sort of acknowledgment back really is the bare minimum.

And this goes for non-request posts too, I used to post some sets or series that got no (You)s so of course I thought no one cared and stopped posting them, only to see someone asking where I went and saying they loved that shit, well how was I supposed to know if no one said anything? People need to speak up if they like something, we can't read your mind.

Now I realize this really isn't a big deal, but I thought it was worth bringing up and explaining, I feel like some people really don't get how a community like this would work, TLDR: if you don't give people a reason to stay don't be surprised if they don't stick around.
And also grown-ass adults shouldn't need to be told about basic manners, if you can't say thank you and please you don't deserve the effort it takes to drag a png on catbox, this has been happening way too often.

FWIW I meant 5 minutes just to generate the initial output in hi-resolution. I also often spend 3 hours+ refining single images and I imagine that would take considerably more time if I didn't upgrade my hardware.

A big issue we have now is that everyone is using the same fucking models.
The quality has massively improved in the last ~5 months but everything has basically the same style.

To roughly chip into this whole "that's good in the hood on the AI front" discussion, I'm personally just running out of ideas a bit. Request anchor helps but it's not always easy finding good inspiration that just hits.
I'm happy if someone asks me to just do more of the same but with a different character or outfit or something, working in tandem with a requester, especially if we can go back and forth on details, is very enjoyable.
