how do some of you expect to make it solely by streaming, tweeting, and posting vods? you expect someone to decide "wow, this streamer is so talented at gaming" halfway thru an hour long vod. you curate your "audience" thru asp when in reality nobody is going to want to watch you do the exact same thing as every other small streamer. and what is the variety of content you do? gaming, reacting to videos, or talking to other incredibly niche and uninteresting vtubers. so many of u offer the same type of unedited stream content and complain about not getting views.

"making it" is about getting what you want from streaming and improving upon yourself, not from playing the same game stream after stream. you should stream because you enjoy doing what you do and want to broadcast it to the world. im pretty small still but i feel as tho im making it because i enjoy broadcasting my interests to the world, not because i want to be a streamer.

Shure SM58 is a dynamic mic for about $100. Condenser mics are generally a bit more expensive. The condenser equivalent of the SM58 is probably the SM86 for $189. Of course you’ll need an audio interface that will probably set you back another $100-150. Or you could try an XLR to USB converter, but I’ve never used one and I can’t say how effective that setup is. Also condenser mics need phantom power usually provided by the audio interface, I believe dynamic mics don’t. I’m not sure how Blue Yetis work since they’re USB mics. But yeah those are some things to consider.

Hello Anons! I recently picked up the Samson Q2U microphone. It's very nice to hear my voice not through a meh headset. I just looked up a random video on youtube for what settings are good on OBS on it, so I hope that guy knew what he was doing. One of the things I was wondering though is which of the OBS noise suppressors should you use? The Speex, RNN or Nvidia (just NS or echo or both?).

nvidia broadcast / RTX voice are the best, but they will suppress anything that isn't just talking so if you need to make sounds (bark redeem, stretch redeem, etc) you should toggle it off, make the noise then toggle it back on
