Disclaimer that I'm not a dev, but I've been thinking coins should really be tied to their dividends to determine their value.
I was thinking, very rough concept, that a coin's value would be something like dividend x 4 (25% return) + shares in circulation * random modifier determined every day (to further obfuscate the actual dividend value)
Every stock would attempt to return to the rough value it's worth. It wouldn't be a huge driving force, it would only be allowed to move a stock maybe 5-10% per day so if an overinflated stock should go up 30%, it'll still move up like 20% and if a heavily overinflated stock has a mediocre day and is meant to go down like 10% it'll go down 20% but not something retarded like 80% to avoid heavy-handed pink wojak days.
Basically my hope with this is that permanent shitcoins like Pochi, Nana, Ayamy, etc will gradually return to prices that actually make sense to hold them at if one of those girls is your oshi, and it'll also help fix overvalued but underappreciated stocks to provide more varied dividend play. Stocks that have huge amounts of shares will attempt to return to much more mediocre dividend numbers like 15-20% and while they'll still be worth buying on days where they dip below dividend value they won't be consistently no-brain buys. Obviously there's probably a lot of tweaking of the actual numbers and ratios to make it work cleanly, but what do you guys think of the overall concept?
tl:dr: The market attempts to stabilize all stocks to what they should cost based on dividends. High market demand (lots of shareholders) will tell the market that stocks are worth MORE than their dividends so buying underappreciated stocks will be more viable.

The coco incident was a fucked up modifier because Honk was experimenting with it, Honk made a genuine mistake. It was never supposed to happen like that, and as an apology he manually readjusted the stock after fixing the modifier.
I'm not even proposing massively bigger dips, I just want shitcoins to gradually decrease in value instead of just staying static because the views are static. Nene was completely unbuyable for the longest time and is only not a complete dumpster fire now because everything else has caught up inflation-wise. She's still not a great dividend play, she's just not completely fucked now that everything else is expensive too.
The other "option" is for devs to manually adjust hyper shitcoins like Pochi after giving holders a few days warning to sell and just hoping that fixes the problem, but I don't think many people here like the idea of devs straight up sticking their hand into the market and adjusting raw stock values.

The part of equalization I'm not sure is being understood is that it'll actually reduce dips to an extent. Once the stock reaches the "fair dividend" value, if it's supposed to dip below the stabilizing system would decrease the dip to try to keep the stock at equilibrium. It's also not supposed to massively dip overinflated stocks in a single day, that was an entire point I addressed. It's supposed to be a subtle adjustment that'll take days or even weeks to "fix" a stock.
