I did, by taking a step outside my Holocomfortzone and learning about smaller corps. I still come back once in a blue moon to watch Gura's rare streams, as well as the occasional Ina, Fauna or Mumei stream, but I have no regrets.

What pissed me off was the Altare love song duet out of nowhere in the middle of a karaoke. She shit on all the people who didn't drop her but took her advice and just avoided the homo collab streams with that one. Not a coincidence she stopped doing duets with other holo members after that. It took her months to even sing fly me to the moon again though she has started doing it again recently. That was Ame's low point, not improve yourself.

I didn’t drop her there, but that era of Ame very clearly ended in that stream. Ended up dropping her after the love song duet that was followed by the Worms and whatever that other game was collab spam.
Since then her content has gone considerably downhill and shes much more distant than she ever was in her first two years so frankly I think moving on was a good decision.

The point was later streams where it just constantly felt like she didn't want to be there.Anons like to point at Gura as the one who seems done, but since mid 2022,Ame has seemed the most checked out of hololive. She's even more cold and combative than before. There's not as much of personal and friendly feel she had in 2020 streams.

I didn't really care about Ame, but the Homo collabs were really bumming me out on Hololive. It's not that I thought they're in a relationship, or that I was jealous. It's more that it changes the genre, and I loved what it was before.
It's like if some of them started showing their face on stream. I don't hate them, but I don't want to see that and it irreparably changes their stream.
I thought it was going to spread to the rest of EN, and Ame's statement was the push I needed to stop watching HoloEN altogether. I've been learning Japanese more seriously and moved on to HoloJP and a few indies that are more suited to my tastes.

For all that meme talk in Holo about pineapple on pizza the past few years, that is actually pretty apt for male/female vtubers - some people are fine with it either way, some just aren't and won't ever be for life, and there is nothing you can do about it. HoloJP was built up on basically an assumed assurance that usually (not 100% of the time but usually), they won't keep trying to push the homo pineapple pizza onto the people who didn't want it. EN exists as kind of an island in a sea of pineapple pizza already as it is considering the usual twitch behavior, nijis etc (small corpos often have little or no males but many holo fans don't want to acknowledge those exist). It's an oasis and it just feels like the right, proper natural order of things for it to dominate -because- the JP management has better insight into what the fans really want and like and didn't want to fuck with it.

EN however started trying to fuck with it almost-immediately, they even shortened the collab ban period to get started. This was viewed as trying to force-feed pineapple pizza to people who didn't want it. Remember, when Tempus was new and before the collab ban was up in the first few weeks, the hostility wasn't really there, or at least not even 1/10th as much as there is now - because it was assumed, the guys would be basically on their own and doing their own thing. When this got proven wrong and several of the girls to boot had a flippant attitude about it indicating they understood absolutely fucking nothing about this process, shit just started going south period.

I stopped watching her way before she went full homoshill because she just came off as lazy and unmotivated. And while I do agree that Cover sucks cock and they drain the fun out of everything, those that came before her and are still in the company have found ways to thrive despite the corporate limitations. Her content is mediocre, her attitude has consistently remained bad and she has done nothing to change. I watched one of her streams recently to see how she was after not watching her for so long and nothing changed.
