That's usually the time period that people give them a chance before jumping back to their old vtuber oshi or try to find a new one. I remember when we'd usually give vtubers 1 month at least before we decide to keep up with them or not but times are changing. There's a few major problems hurting them anon. First being that they're in Nijisanji EN, the second is that they're what remains of the "Gamer Wave".

Problem 1 is easy to explain away as they're in NijiEN. The branch has been falling apart well before these guys entered the picture, they would straight up have to be the most charismatic/talented/unique streamers ever to turn things around. And even if they were, it still wouldn't be enough probably because the branch's numbers have declined within the span of a year and some of those fans likely left for good.
Problem 2 is a bit more complicated since there's multiple factors on the branch's own part that hurt it. First being that NijiEN's audience does not care for dudes playing video games, so the wave was already doomed from the start. The second being that a "Gamer Wave" can't play everything, so they'd be subject to Japanese perms autism like the rest of the branch. Then there's the fact that 2 out of 6 members left during negotiations it sounds like, with the situation being sealed when Aruvn or one of his friends leaked everything, from the 2% deal to the concept art, to even names, dates, you name it. Coupled with Nijifans/interns downplaying the leaks as "AI art", and you have a wave that almost felt like it was sent to die.

Granted Bandage dude didn't help matters by not reading the room and realizing bad sex jokes are easy matters for ridicule, but not everything can be blamed on them either. They were ultimately in an unwinnable position, and the same will apply the moment the next wave comes out. There's no turning things around, NijiEN is done for.

EN management hasn't change their audition criteria since Luxiem. Fujobait first and foremost, 'gamer' label is just fluff.
They play fotm like everybody else and aren't decently skilled in any game niche. You could argue that Selen is more of a gamer than these guys.
Vanta doing a demon souls endurance counts I guess, but that's not uncommon, and I still don't get the 'gamer' emphasis of this wave.
Yeah they do other stuff and shit like karaoke is a rite of passage so whatever, but bondage's guitar stream was the nail in the coffin for me. They're just another fujobait wave, and expect future waves to not diverge as EN hires more people with the same 4 kayfabe templates.

That's pretty sad, because the fujobait limits what little appeal they had even further. I can't imagine there'd be much going for NijiEN anymore if they just plan on hiring dudes to imitate/skinwalk their already existing talents, from their game tastes to their mannerisms.

Not really a very good representation of their normal? They were each one of like 10 POVs in a big collab. Looking at their normal stream they're usually anywhere between 1k-3k like most members of NijiEN.

I always wondered why the males are so unbelievably boring and this comment sums it up perfectly. I'm not even trying to sound like an incel but it's just normal that a male sense of humour is obviously going to appeal to a male more than a female's sense of humour.
Yet despite that, every NijiEN Male (and even HoloEN Males) are incredibly boring and have an unremarkable taste in games. I tried watching Luca play Revengeance for example and it was incredibly dull. In my mind, I'm thinking "oh this guy must play Metal Gear". And then I realised "oh. It's another FOTM MGR playthrough again..."
The only one that was mildly entertaining was Vox, but he makes me wildly uncomfortable like he's trying to recruit me to some R.Kelly sex cult every time he speaks.

You don't think Leos is a breakthrough star, what the fuck? He's a skilled gamer trying out different stuff like speedruns, retro games and kusoge, but also capable of streaming current FOTM games for many hours, he's always high energy and hilarious, his singing is peak soul while actually being quite pleasant to listen to, he gradually made connections with many members and participated in tons of events, his chuuni antics make any collab fun, he doesn't pander but still brings in a lot of yumejo money, he's as drama free as they come and he's a weird ojisan in general who has never been streaming or vtubing at all which makes him feel fresh. NijiJP quite literally stroke gold with him and didn't have a better hire since then.

I do like Doppio and Sonny when they play games. Doppio is fun when he reads things and Sonny is more of a "gamer".
From the new wave I mostly watched Bandage guy, but I have troubles understanding him with his thick accent.
