This thread is about vtubers that play a lot of FPS and/or compete in FPS tournaments.
The discussion does not have to be limited to FPS streams, as long as what you post centers around the vtubers involved (Vspo etc.)
Due to extensive overlap with non-v, sometimes non-v will be posted about here, but please use your own discretion (i.e. Tonakaito can be on-topic but Shiv is definitely not).
If you're not sure about whether or not your post belongs here, just give it a try.

It's to be expected, all the girls receive a bit of hate but it's especially easy to place the blame on IGL or Gib players because of the overwhelming advantage Gib has(some players get criticized for selfish dome etc). It doesn't help that Nazuna(and Toto) can make the entire team look obsolete in Valorant so you get the "why are you making everyone look bad, it's only casual" trolls and when she sandbags it's the reverse argument.
Wingman is nice but in a competitive sweat environment it's not as reliable as Flatline or R-301 even though I am really sick of Flat/R-301+Eva. Lastly the weapon is so much stronger in aggressive play and close range combat with multiple LoS breaks which doesn't mesh with Nazuna's Caustic/Gib.
Nazuna is still in the old mindset of taking and holding strong positions, needs to play some Path or more Wraith and get used to being an annoying mosquito.

>>5234458
Easy to forget that Noah has been IGL for VSPO a few times for Splat and APEX. She is quite close to Nazuna in terms of mindset ie taking initiative and providing her own input. Seems like Japan doesn't value second opinions when the team lead is much stronger.
Honestly it's less of her coming out of her shell and more seeing old Noah back. She can't really showcase much in APEX since she's playing Bloodhound and mainly as a support rather than shotcaller even in casual/ranked.

For non-VSPO topics, how do you guys feel about Uto? I'm always wary of seeing vtubers starting to stream APEX and then showing that they're really strong at the game from the get-go.

>I'm always wary of seeing vtubers starting to stream APEX and then showing that they're really strong at the game from the get-go.
Can you elaborate on this? Isn't being good at the game a good thing?

>> No.5264860

>>5264436
Depends on the viewer and the streamer. Like if Botan started playing any FPS game I wouldn't be surprised since she's said and shown that's it's her thing, on the otherhand watching a self-proclaimed newbie at the game prefire Havoc and start beaming down a squad on her first stream is something else. For the record I'm referring to a different indie and not Uto.
If the streamer is advertising themselves as a beginner then I'm watching them to see them develop and get better.

As for Uto, she's clearly strong and I'm combing through her archives to see how she developed etc.

I remember watching Uto's Apex stream before(?) her break and was surprised she was quite a bit better than the average non-FPS streamer given her normal streams.

I'm not sure she ever said she was new to FPS' though and I think she was already level 500 at that point in time.

Not an Uto follower, what really got me on the trail was her recent stream, she wiped a squad and acted surprised of sorts during her popoff even though her tracking with R99 was spot on the entire time and broke a controller Gibby's ankles.
I know it's part of the show and character, gap moe to feign surprise but it was a bit disorienting for me since it was clearly a babby squad and her performance was well above what that squad could handle.

It makes more sense to me now that there is an implied previous experience and now I know she's a killer even if she acts innocent.

I'm as trash player so my opinion shouldn't really count but R-301 feels scummy to use. I'd rather miss my shots with R99 and long range Flatline but can't really deny that R-301 is so strong.

Unsurprising, she's not very savvy at many things and is casual. Spent about an hour with Gura getting through the first boss of River City Girls because they were aping her instead of learning boss patterns.
On the other hand Mel having a grasp of the game was a pleasant surprise being able to give basic directions to Calli and then recently playing with Choco and Nene. Doesn't hurt that she mains Bangalore which is good for learning the game

I don't think any APEX "beginner" stream will top NijiEN's disaster collab. Even if Pomu was absolutely terrible, Finana with 0 comms and minimal team play was worse. It always fell to Elira to attempt to help Pomu or retrieve her banner.
