The dev's problem with Oga's copycat game was that it didn't have "ma," making "manko"(Japan's equivalent of "cunt") impossible. Dev is a self-admitted autist regarding his game, and in his eyes, the removal went against the game's spirit, since it's SUPPOSED to be unapologetically vulgar. It culminated with him tweeting "Man, now I hate Holo-whatever." This got him lots of hate, after which he went on to delete the tweet and then politely asked vtubers to refrain from playing the game to prevent any more such conflicts.
Following that, Oga made an apology tweet, and the dev replied to it saying that it's fine and that he overreacted. The request to stop playing it has since been retracted and it's all good now.

In conclusion, FUCK COVER. None of this would've happened if they just allowed Holos to play the original.

Not really. It was less what Oga actually did and how the fans responded to it. This is where the parody issue comes in, Oga monetized a game that in Japan would be seen as a ripoff. On top of this, fans game in and said "ur game is so much better omg" which, while that is their god given right to say so, is naturally rude to the author. So it's easy to just write the guy off as butthurt, but you can see why other creators would empathize with him. So in the end this is an issue about respecting the original creator of a work in derivative, secondary works.
