Incorrect.

She became irrelevant while with Vshojo once she started riding Aethel's cock.

She was already losing relevancy before leaving
She was only big when there weren't as many other english vtubers
Now there's thousands and people can choose ones that are actually entertaining without having to resort to 'Lol so random' humor

Actually true. Same with Veibae and Silvervale. I guess the corpo does matter to a degree, even if it is as hands-off as VShojo.

she was still a top vtuber a bit over a year ago, let's not act like the million 3views debuted by nijisanji tapped into her audience
it was the boyfriend yab and the fact that she stopped putting any effort at all into her streams that did her in

She’s been popular and relevant for years before ever joining vshojo. Vshojo didn’t bring Nyanners relevancy
What’s been killing Nyanners as a vtuber is all the irl shit and getting her bf involved. Why even be a vtuber if you’re just going to go down the standard path of all the rest of the facecam streamers on twitch

This
Success = Effort x Time
You can clearly see on >>52586054 that once she started streaming less, her viewer count started dipping and hasn't, so far, recovered

>> No.52587065

>>52586345
To be fair, can you really call it a "boyfriend yab" in the traditional sense if she pretty openly and officially announced it? At least compared to the way actual "bf yabs" usually happen (lying and hiding it until one stupid slip-up ruins it all) it's probably even preferable in its honesty.

Agree though that it is still probably a net negative for her popularity. Despite the twitchcucks virtue posturing that it doesn't affect them, there's still a significant silent part of the audience that just can't deny losing interest and moving on to elsewhere.

nyanners and her boyfriend have been working their way into OTKs inner circle.
>nyanners belongs to mythic talent owned by asmongold
>they've had soda and vei couple collabs multiple times
>aethel her boyfriend is very close to Tectone an OTK member who's been trying to introduce aethel to asmon, he's met up with nyanners and aethel multiple times IRL recently
>aethel really loves IRL content and isn't very attached to his vtuber identity
>nyanners also seems to enjoy IRL content when with aethel, and has expressed how it sometimes feels weird to be playing a pink catgirl now that she is thirty
>Tectone will probably meet up with them IRL at AX today
>nyanners was recently on asmongold's podcast
>asmongold has expressed increasing interest in vtubers and is even willing to provide support for filian's award show idea
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TzubtOQhsQQ
Vtubing is probably becoming more of a part-time thing for her, and she'll increasingly do IRL content with her boyfriend while hanging out with OTK members. Aethel has a decent chance of actually joining OTK, and they can stay relevant through the OTK flesh-streamer ecosystem while basically getting paid to go on dates, hang out with friends, and travel the world. She'll never be as big as she was, but she doesn't really seem like she has the ambition or desire to overtake ironmouse or become the next Gura killer anyways.

imma be honest, i stopped watching her after she got a bf, not for the fact the she got one, i dont really care if vtubers start dating, its not my problem.
but after she started dating that guy she just had to start sucking on his cock in every stream. holy shit not a single stream went by without her bringing up her bf. every stream, every collab, the guy always had to be there somehow.
maybe the fact that ive always disliked that guy even before they started dating is a factor here.

How come every big vtuber in Twitch is just a fucking react streamer?

>> No.52593903

>>52592846
It's the final destination of content. It's the creator success plateau. It's what happens when you reach a large enough viewerbase/fanbase that people disregard the content you used to make and only care about your personality, or rather the persona you have built up over the years. It's a fanbase level where putting effort and creativity isn't going to give any larger returns than just showing up and chatting about nothing. Small streamers have to use unique content and traits to get any kind of attention and build a following. React content gives large streamers a low investment method to keep the dopamine hits firing into the viewers' brains once the connection between them is already established. Having viewers submit content to react to adds to the emotional investment they feel in the streamer.

At the same time, from the streamer side, if they reach the top it's often on the back of long hard grinds of constant content production. There is a high rate of burnout associated with this. The burnout kills energy for creativity and the act of reaching the safe plateau kills motivation to push themselves forward. There's no further goal they can see or new stories they want to tell.

Tldr react content is the elephant graveyard of twitch streamers. All the big ones go there but no one ever comes back. This is why the site is creatively bankrupt.

>> No.52596714

>>52592846
Twitch is parasocial in nature because of poor discoverability. This means the only proven way to get better numbers is to be live as long as possible; daily 14 hour streams are common on Twitch. Streamers will destroy their voices talking for 10+ hours per day, so react content is how one fills the time
