Airi was actually the original VA for Purin for around three months back in 2020 when Tsunderia was first starting out, but she ended up graduating very quickly because her real life job was making it impossible for her to stream (there were some rrats floating around that PPP had tried to sexually assault her and that was actually the reason, but nobody could confirm those). The company didn't want to throw away the model and other assets after such a short time, so a new VA, the current Purin, was brought in to replace her, and even though replacing VAs has become widely frowned upon since then the Tsunderia fanbase was very receptive of the change. From everything I have heard about Dizzy from Phase talents themselves, she has been incredibly helpful, and to some even a godsend, as a behind the scenes manager. She seems to be able to help provide practical and realistic perspectives to vtubing because of her views, but I worry that she doesn't have that counterbalance for herself. I'd say she is wrong in this case. The amount of vtubers who outright play characters in the traditional sense are incredibly few and far between (which is understandable because it's a complete pain in the ass) and she is in the minority for choosing to attempt that approach.
