There's literally too many Vtubers and no amount of brand loyalty or talent quality (presuming it exists) is going to fix that problem. Numbers are going to keep getting shittier for everyone until there's some kind of massive purge, not just in NijiEN, but industry wide.

People who already watch Vtubers are overwhelmed with too many options and new talent isn't necessarily going to appeal to new audiences.

Purging talent through mass firings isn't really going to help either because you're going to have fans pissed off that their favorites got fired. Niji (worse than most brands) have backed themselves into a corner by debuting too many people too fast, and they keep making it worse by adding more. They're doubling down on a bad bet.

Well it's too late for niji, they don't really have any other choice than throwing more and more expensable "livers", and let natural selection remove as much as possible, if possible encourage them to leave at the most mudane oportunity (gundo). Also point is that riku don't give a fuck, he already clearly stated that nijisanji was only a quick buck project, they never carred about perenity of the entreprise in the first place. So the plan was clear from the start, spam (accelerate), get the money (1%), buy a yacht, let it crumble, if possible in other people hands (selling share to buy more yacht). And well it's going acordly to the plan so IDK everything seem, like, normal, outside the plan being just some shitty rich kid behavior but that also is normal.

Anycolor has been chugging along for 6 years with nijisanji being over 5 years. The bodies they keep on piling up has kept them growing yearly. Doesn’t seem like they’ll close up shop this year so we’re at least looking at 7 years, that’s kind of a long time to make a quick buck.
