That was part of it. I enjoy thinking up brand new card ideas but I'm terrible at figuring out appropriate costs. I also wanted to make proxies that people could actually use. That's why all these proxies are Legendaries, Commanders are the easiest to use proxies for since they rarely go into hidden info zones.
I do wish MSE.exe had the actual Universes Beyond frame style.

Subaru doesn't have anything bird-like in her default design so I didn't want any art-to-type mismatch. I chose from the Human Advisors to go with her team manager lore and that was the best match. It was more for the mana reduction than anything else, she helps your team of creatures get onto the field faster. The mana increase to your opponents just happened to match her cop activities.

For anyone unfamilar with Magic, they have a system baked into the rules that accounts for the "reskining" of normal Magic cards into crossover stuff. Both of these (real) cards count only as the one on the left for the purposes of rules and deckbuilding.

These Hololive cards are obviously customs, but in casual games you could substitute them in for their real counterparts.
