I've had a couple of those items over the years. Had a video hit nearly 150k views over the years. But looking back it was purely because of incredible luck with a game's rng.

The video itself wasn't great. It's why I'm trying to learn other stuff like Live2D rigging, better video editing, drawing, improving communication. When I said eyes I meant more than 0. I've seen all of Marie's selfdrawings and they always felt like they had some sadness underneath them. You ever seen a guy who's lived a tragic life smile? It's a true and honest smile. Not just pure joy, but joy contrasted with tragedy, a look of exhaustion.
Not even in the faces themselves, but in the composition and lines. It screams of a soul that tries to free itself from a grim reality through said art. I felt that from the start when I started watching mehlo, that deep seated melancholy.
I've felt that sensation for years. Happy, but not quite, like a shadow hiding the full shape of that emotion. Not depression, but rather raw feeling. It might sound pretentious. Ennui but not out of boredom. The emotion of sheer resignation after losing something you worked hard on.
I developed an emotional connection to mehlo not from a gosling perspective, but rather cause I felt someone who had the same weight on her mind. It's that desperate wish to not be alone with your thoughts, but also knowing that you must face them head on.
Now, let me stop you right there, I have gone to mental health shit, I am not schizophrenic nor on the schizo spectrum. I am ever so slightly autistic.
Whenever I watched mehlo I could deeply empathize with her, as I saw myself in her, it helped keep the dark thoughts away, feel a kindred spirit. I only realized how much she helped with these sensations and feels when she graduated, and I slowly drifted back into those sensations, now more sound of mind, but maybe weaker of spirit.
I've yet to find another person whom I could empathize as such, even my GF whom I love with all my heart is not someone who'd understand this, it's like a kick in the balls, you might have heard how it is, but only after getting kicked you understand the terrible experience.
They say people have 3 faces, one for the public, one for close ones and one for ourselves. I saw the face she kept for her own, in a way.

The thing is from what I've seen, it does take a certain kind of person to be able to hold a solo stream. This is especially true with males, as they do have a debuff when it comes to this stuff. From these observations, I've come to the conclusion if you can't hold a solonstream , you'd either have to:

1. do what Vox does and fujobait the fuck out of your streams. You'll probably be semi successful, but at what cost?

2. Go the Achivement Hunter route and get a small group of friends to stream together. This allows you to bounce off eachother and stop there from being a bunch of dead air, but be careful not to rot like they did though and keep things fresh, burnout is a thing.

This is just ebay I think might work going off of what I've seen in the vtuber sphere, so don't take them as some gospel or shit.

As I see my name being mentioned again, I guess I can add my uneducated guesses that nobody asked for. Personally, I only interacted with Marie once at the very beginning when we opened a small discord group for the sweet crew, but it was pretty clear that she didn't like me due to the rumors that were spreading and she was basically asking me directly if the forbidden vocaroo thing was a real thing. I said yes and seeing how she was uncomfortable with it, I believe I left that discord before or after her. We never really interacted after that and while she still had a disdain for me and probably for Jubi after that too, I personally didn't really mind it. I always say everyone is free to hate me for whatever reason they wish for, true or not.

I felt like the biggest issue was that she didn't want a male in her idol group and I accepted that I was out of place and promised I wasn't gonna interact with anyone, but I do feel like there was something else. However she was well liked by you guys so I didn't worry about that too much. She got what she wanted (or so i thought) and put in the effort so I'm not sure what left her dissatisfied at the end.

As for the /asp/ie thing, honestly I'm pretty active over there or at least follow the thread closely and I have never even heard of Marie before, she might have been anon or just asking for help without actually starting, she might have been in the /asp/cord, but so are like 500 other people.
