Yeah they fuse a bit sometimes but stuff like that is pretty minor compared to some the of the monsters I could have made.
The thick lines happens when I make the LoRA weight higher. If I make the weight lower I lower the chance of scissoring but I get my model more, but yields are lower, or I strike a middle ground, get scissoring most of the time but thick lines.
There is room to tinker with the trigger words instead of the LoRA weights but that take time.

Lately for some reason when I try to use Hires Fix to upscale a relatively small image (e.g. 512x768 x1.8) it tries to request 11 Gb of VRAM or more and fails.
Is that an issue with the latest version of Automatic1111 or have I fucked up some setting?

Not exactly dark. Well we had anons doing that img2img with a colour filter to control the lighting, I tried it but a few times and I kept getting weird tiled or stretched results. I couldn't figure out why.
Anyway after fucking around some more I just did one at low res and then upscaling and that seem to solve it. Initially I was img2img at 800x1280 and it kept stretching or tiling.
Here is proper dark alley, it's a bit more work but it's good atmosphere and hey I learned something.

Interesting results but it was a ton of one by one prompting to RNG the colour and pick out the ones there only the tentacles take the colour.
It's a fun novelty but I don't think I'll be doing much since it's a lot of time and you gotta watch it, no set it and forget it type work.

img2img with a color appears to be giving a more unnatural illumination.
An alternative i can think is to generate it the normal way, decrease the brightness in an image editing software, and then img2img it.

version 1.4 of webui is going to fix the recent issues with high res and xformers 0.0.20 is going live. .20 is deterministic and faster while saving a bit of vram. It should make sdp obsolete. I downloaded it I think 3 weeks ago.

Im not sure how your supposed to check your xformers version but I just searched in xformers in the search bar. In the webui installation and you should see the package. I don't think it updates on its own so everyone should check unless on recent install

What is your current model?
I don't think there's one-for-all model nowadays so I can only suggest whatever I'm using.
based66 is a hll4 merge iirc, mokoumix-hll3 and based64-hll3 are obviously hll3. b64 looks quite like aom (2.5d) but has pretty good lora compatibility, mokoumix is considerably more overfit but I like its default style more so I use it most of the time.

Sry I don't really know the differences that well. Someone suggested using hll3.1 for custom merges and I did just that.
I know that b66 had hll4 merged in it which looks pretty different so I thought I should mention it.

Im done. I did all the vtubers I could think of and umi and based66 and 64 know all the same ones, I redid 16 old images and a few new ones

they also seem to work with lora, I assume umi has a hill mixed in or the same dateset,

based 64 seems more tilted to one style.

If anyone else has done a number of tests it would appreciate you weighing in
