Please don't the market has become congested. It was like the California gold rush till early 2020. But now there are dime a dozen. I am saying this is not out of spite but as a genuine advice as it takes thousand of dollars to set the model and proper rigging up. But after that if are are not able to get a decent fan base with cash supply from them it will be a wasted effort. As money does not grow on trees.

it's a very solid and affordable webcam that can do 1080p, that's really all. used to be $65 but i think it's like $80 now due to demand with everyone going remote.

any other webcam between the C920 through to the iphone is a waste of money because it's all still just flat 2d image tracking regardless of how much you pay for it.

I'm a vtuber that recently started latel,I don't really follow trends of what games are popular. I just do my own thing playing from any game in any era I enjoy playing. I have 0 expectation of what comes through to my stream or social media following. however I do want to up my quality of streams especially when it comes to transitioning stuff.

I don't have much of a "lore" per se but I do want to work on that one day. I also don't really conform to trends like wearing maid dresses or acting like a femboy. despite having redeem points of "ara ara" or "uwu" cause I was told i am "Good at that." So this is gonna be a kind of convoluted request, but I'm scouting for a girl to take on the mantle of a model that was abandoned by the original user and I bought the rights to after they chose to rebrand. The model and design are absolutely phenomenal and have a bult-in base of people who would be interested in seeing the next reincarnation of the character, because the first go around was kinda a dud content wise and didnt live up to the potental of how good the model was. The deal would be the streamer uses the model and a pre-chosen name (for branding reasons since the name is recignizable and memorable) but there are no weird caveats of management or contracts or having to be indebted to anyone, and you can put your own spin on it. I just feel like this charecter has the potental to be incredibly sucessful in the right hands and didnt want to see it go to waste

Qualifications of what im looking for is someone who is passionate about vtubing as a creative medium, wants to stream a consistent schedule, (3+ days a week) has good audio, a voice that fits the feel of the model, can fill dead air even when the chat is slow or dead, and if possible a proven track record of consistent streams in the past to show they are actually dedicated to producing content. If you think you fit the bill or you know someone who might be interested, drop their channel or socials as a (you) and I'll check them out as a potental candidate. Im not really holding open auditions per se, but if there is someone I have overlooked who has a ton of potental I dont want to overlook them

I'm not one of the model owners but was involved pretty heavily in the situation, and have also been helping look for candidates
I can confirm to you it's not schizo or anything bad, just a block of text
There have been multiple cases in /wvt/ that we've had community members buy models from people they liked and try to find candidates for
if you want to know the catch, the catch is that this one was an especially expensive full body and nobody involved wants it going to someone who is becoming a vtuber 'because it's so hot right now' or anything stupid where they'll quit in a month and a half, or someone who really does not fit it well enough to be successful with it.
they've invested a good chunk of money to both help out the previous owner (very nice girl, had personal reasons for rebranding) and preserve a fairly well-known model/character that was well liked by a lot of people in the /wvt/ community

The original post also said you can put your own spin on the character too with the only other requirement being that you can stream actively (which I get because if you're giving this to someone it's probably preferable that it goes to someone that actually uses it)

The really poor quality ones, you can tell instantly because they are really flat and have little to no perspective when they turn around. But the riggers around the $300 - $500 range seem to be... alright? They have passable perspective when turning the head around, and the mouth movement seems smooth enough.

>> No.5227096

>>5222631
It's not dead at all, but it's pretty much the gimmick of the overwhelming majority of streamers and video makers that have content around games. Pretty much most niches are oversaturated though, but more so gaming since anyone can stream pressing the share button on their console.

So, it's easier to distinguish yourself doing other content than straight up gameplay + commentary but, any other content - such as in-depth reviews, curated lists, listicles, video essays, etc - takes significant amount of time investment to make and that will slow down the flow of content, which is all you don't want as a streamer.

You're not going to grow fast unless someone big notices you and sends people your way or you luck out with the algorithm's blessing, but that's not bad either. Use that time to do your reps, hone your presentation and entertainment skills, invest in production quality, advertise yourself etc, so eventually you're ready to seize the opportunity when it shows up.

>YouTube tutorials on how to be a good streamer
Most of the people who do those videos are either people who got big doing what they say doesn't work or people whose only big channel is an advice channel - usually re-hashing content from Youtube's own Creator Academy and Creator Insider channel - trying to get hired as consultants.

Keep in mind that some of that advice is also said solely with the purpose of making money, mostly for production companies - so if you follow it you'll end up pandering to 13-year olds with clickbait thumbnails and toilet humor, which is okay if you like it, but if you don't chances are you'll end up pretty miserable and burnt out.

That's a heavily revisionist retelling of what happened there, just like her own "manifesto" that she posted.

It's justified that "schizos" (who are in reality probably just idol fans, kind of schizos imho.) would feel upset that a character that originated from /hlgg/, an idol thread, from the fever dream of an idol fan, who originally had aspirations to join an idol company, uses the same content format as said idol company and uses idol imagery during karaokes is now vehemently opposed to that idol image.

>>5190008
The first post wasn't an apology at all, she was more just some half-baked cavalier statement that it's her way or the highway, and how she's "dispelling the male boogeyman". Her examples of good opposite gender chuuba interaction were really tone-deaf though because it included 3 idols working for the same company and a married couple that share an account.

Since I've taken the time to write things out, I should just pitch my 2 cents on the debacle and say that she should unironically graduate. Pick up a new persona that doesn't implicitly tie her to here and doesn't involve a background in something she doesn't like. She's bound to run into a plumber problem sooner or later with her name and mascot.

you shouldn't be sitting around in silence waiting for someone to talk
you need to work up skills on how to be entertaining without external input to riff off of

No. OBS is a display program. All it does is display and broadcast something.
Streamlabs is a website that you can connect your twitch or youtube account to. It can then spit our a browser url that you can put into obs to overlay the alert messages on your screen. Streamlabs connects with twitch's and paypal's APIs to get information about what just happened on your account so that it can be used to display.
You can use streamlabs alerts without using it's broadcasting program. You can directly link a paypal in your twitch bio, but it will not display anything unless it is linked to some kind of software that will do something when it's set up. Should I be sticking to one game and not switching games midway through?

Depends on how long you're playing the games. If you're playing for a few hours for each it doesn't really matter if you switch. Just count it as basically a new stream session.

And just to double-check, in the US the business name is what will display on the receipt?

a lot of people I know would just cut the stream, take a quick break, and then come back with the new game
it makes the VoDs nicer since there's only 1 game per VoD

I have checked in that I sent in a kofi payment (thru paypal) to someone and my business name displayed on the paypal receipt without me having to set anything specific up. I have sent an invoice for work to someone and you get to choose if it shows your name or your business name/icon. (So you could still actually do invoices that require your name on the same account.) I can't donate to myself so I can't check the donation button that streamlabs creates for you though. I did unlink and relink my paypal account on streamlabs just in case as well. But since kofi was connected to my payapl and I verified with the person that only the business name was sent, it should be good.

Also to be clear, I am still using my real name on Paypal information, and as the user listed for the business since paypal likes to freeze for suspicious activity easily. It just displays the business name which is my username that I use everywhere.

I just double-checked it by sending a small amount from my personal to my business.

I turned my personal account into the business account, since my vtuber personal didn't change much and I'm migrating my art commissions there.

I'm thinking of integrating my vtuber persona into my other business making fashion accessories and other stuff. If I do crafting streams I can show how products are made, which i think would be neat.

It just all depends on how much you want to play into kayfabe or not. I don't take it seriously so I'll tie it into whatever I do into it, and honestly having a cute avatar persona and username makes it a better "brand" imo. If you take it too seriously and aren't approachable as a ""real"" person you might miss some connections.

you don't really have the number of followers to pull off that kind of a tweet. i'd start by just making more fanart of other vtubers, especially smaller ones plus /wvt/ here chuubas who are more likely to see your artwork vs the big names where your work will get washed in the sea of fanart.
