A major improvement for a 1.5 model redesign with the new options. Have to wonder how some of the holoEN girls feel about this since Magni was able to get this from management in less than a year. While it's not a full redesign the amount of work they put into this shows that Yagoo does listen to the Tempus guys.

they look bad for different reasons, the first looks rough for awkward placement of features compared to the size of his head, the lack of detail making the awkward features more apparent. the 1.5 looks off because it is just an ugly designed face.

Sure, and Tempus HQ probably did stand behind Magni when he asked for a 1.5 model redesign. Ina and Kronii would be happy that he got the redesign but there had to be some mixed feelings towards management on how quickly they addressed concerns from Tempus.

Indies obviously have a lower floor than corpo but they also have a higher ceiling.
It's like comparing consoles with PC.
Some indies pay for cheap shit, corpos pay for generally decent quality and try to have quality controls but they are not directly controlling every aspect of the design.
Indies can actually afford to spend bigger on a model, get specific artists and designs they think will work well and work with their artists to get it all working the way they want. They are also able to innovate and push for new tech.
Indies have had stuff like full mouth, lip and even tongue tracking, finger tracking much better than contemporary corpo tech.
I've also seen indies get too ambitious, try to do a "2.5D" style of effect and just end up with a fucking mess instead.
Some of the riggers working for indies are very talented and like experimenting with the tech which can either lead to top tier stuff far better than big corpo or just abominations.
