She is called a mad dog for a reason she isn't the best player but her playstyle is like a mad dog that bites at anything and everything that moves she is rekless, unaware of her surrounding even though she has a good aim it dosent mean much because she rushes into a battle and gets killed in the end, startend also plays on this quality of her the others are there to control the mad dog, most people who thought aqua will win have no idea about apex although Aqua is good at it she can't play in a team even if her life depends on it which by default drastically decreases there chances at winning because suisei can barely play Apex and towa is ok at it, when faced by a function team they can't win.
But aquas way of playing is what makes it entertaining even for people who don't care about apex they might not win the game but they are plenty of entertaining on there own, plus they have a good dynamic and viewership has never been a problem to holos.

Pretty much this. Aqua can 1v1 some Masters and even 3v1 some Diamond squads, but in an actual organized team setting she'll get stomped on.

Now that said, if you could get two skilled players who can actually play around her hyper-aggressive play style, you *might* have something. Aqua's willing to commit to plays no one else will, and that element of surprise can make a difference.

I don't even watch startend. Even if you look at pro teams' statistics, there is really no stand out GOAT team that dominates everyone. Tsm can go from almost not qualifying for algs to becoming the champion despite performing bad for the whole split. Apex's br nature and rng isn't really suitable for actual competitive tourney.
