Surely for the price to rise because more people have the ability to purchase something those people need think it's more valuable than the market price or at least be willing to pay more than the market price. If you have a situation where none of those new people are willing to buy at the market price then they might as well not exist. You could give infinite people access to the market but if every one of them was only willing to buy at or below the current price it wouldn't result in price increase.

Example April 17th price was 5,920 then the next day April 18th it spiked up to 6,280, no announcements from Anycolor or anything to correlate with it, 8th May to 9th May price jumped up by a couple hundred yen nothing to account for it. 30th Jan to 31st Jan price went up 300 yen with nothing to account for it and so on.
