GladOS is (as a narrator/antagonist) at BEST dryly sardonic towards the player, if not slightly neutral at some moments throughout the game.
And you can see how legitimately offput Nayvell was with the surrounding atmosphere.
In The Stanley Parable you have a similar atmosphere, 4th wall breaks, elements of Man v Reality or Man v Author conflicts, and an even more present narrator that is both omniscient and ignorant about the game, who also can go so far as to berate, scold, and insult the player for their actions, often dismissively in a manner I can only describe as like a neglectful, abusive, and narcissistic parent.
