For reapers, I would say there's a range of feelings. Some don't really care about us humans because "they die and that's it" like we are the same level as ants (and I guess we are). Mori clearly cares about her duties and those she is responsible for, and that's what pushes her ahead to being given such a high position.
I could picture her meeting each soul and having to answer the same questions about the afterlife, judgement, etc. and she always remains polite trying to assure them that things will be alright. She's glad when she meets someone who had a good life. Stuff like that made her want to experience one herself, and so here she is.

If there is one thing about Mori I would have liked her to change its that she sees "The Deadbeats" as a singular monolithic entity even if she acknowledges (honestly I think its just lip service) many have differing opinions. Take for example her genmates, I heard from a friend who watches her that Gura treats members way different than she does gray name Chumbuds in several ways both in how much she lets them in her headspace and how much she listens to and respects their opinions and ideas on what they want to see. Since Mori never made a distinction between the fans who are die hards and those who jumped on when they saw Gigguk's face and will get off at the next stop or whatever she tries to please "The Deadbeats" but its too unmanageable since there are too many. I can see what she was trying to do in keeping everybody equal but its kind of naive way in running a channel of that size.
