In moderation, it's perfectly healthy being parasocial with vtubers. It's no different than watching a harem anime and fantasizing that you were the mc, or a woman reading a romance novel, or having a crush on a celebrity. As long as you don't think you're going to someday meet/seduce/date your oshi, it's fine.

Of course not. I have a girlfriend in real life, she knows I'm into vtubers, she likes some of the music and has grown to respect certain aspects of the ones I like but doesn't actually care for the streams at all. To me, I see them mainly as entertainers with aspirational elements (I'm mainly a hololive fan), but also as more kind of down to earth than your average director or actor or musician or whatever. On the subject of male collabs, I don't go out of my way to watch them at all, but I also don't have strong feelings about them as long as they stay at their current rate - I think the fuckers here who throw childish shitposting tantrums about them are obnoxious as fuck, but I think the beggars can be slightly worse (so long as the former group don't break containment, the ones who sperg out on twitter and youtube like the world is ending are the absoloute worst).
