Basic rigging? If you're familiar with rigging a 3D model or 2D model of any kind it's the same process and you can figure it out in about an hour or 2 with tutorials. If you're not familiar with those processes it still should only take about a day to get it. Just follow the tutorials.

A full fledged model? It's the same process but more nuanced parameters for shit like hair physics and if you have any expressions. The thing you'll need most is discipline. Your first model you make that complicated might take you a month if you're working on it constantly.
