I would say it's like 50-50 family-visiting holiday but also for many just a good 3-day weekend at the end of spring that's a perfect time for a little trip to a nice nature spot or disneyland or something.

I do wonder if the improve yourself bit really-did act as a catalyst fot it. I think of vtuber declines as usually being more like death by a thousand cuts but this is more like, sometimes there is a slightly-bigger cut that by itself isn't career ending.. but it keeps on bleeding like an open sore and it adds up over time.

My thought however is that Ame for whatever reasons has been unable to grow a new audience to sustain turnover, either she just isn't interesting enough a streamer (a real argument can be made for this in today's market vs fall 2020), doesn't stream enough or do enough creatividad streams. So the teamates she started with are gonna be the ones she has to maintain permanently, and if she makes them lose interest in her she won't easily replace them. Basically the gosling urge is the strongest surest way to hold onto a viewer long-term, love is damn powerful and if you kick it out of the equation and make the audience come to their senses, they will just not be as strongly interested long-term.

It's like watching a stock listing break through a price floor that it supposedly safe from. With Ame, Mori, Kronii, Ollie etc, their declines weren't immediate, but they were showing early-on as those surprisingly low moments in their expected CCV range... until these low ebbs became more and more common, and then eventually, just the new normal range.
