The common reason for this that I've seen in fujo spaces is simple: they don't want to share a fanbase with men/incels/etc and feel more comfortable in a mostly female space. (Straight) hentai is aimed at men 99% of the time and is very degenerate, and yuri is hard to enjoy because it is also sometimes aimed at men, plus too many trannies like it. Same goes for female vtubers too (and i'd say it's even worse) because of how much they focus on appealing to lonely incels, as well as the amount of art you're likely to see of them being raped, humilliated etc.
So it's a lot easier to just settle for enjoying BL if you're also into that if you want to have any fandom/fan content interaction at all. And at the end of the day, what you enjoy in fiction doesn't have to allign with your irl preferences.

I still wish they'd make their own spaces and content though because a lot of them start to force the suggestion that more female characters should be in BL. It's the one genre where there should be less women but they want more instead of just making their own /u/shit. They do the same with otome and it pisses off a lot of yumes too. I read BL to literally get away from women because they're in every single other genre. And I don't get why they can't enjoy hentai if their fictional tastes don't have to align with IRL preferences, especially if majority of hentai is made by women. There's the rrat that other companies want to copy Luxiems' success so that's why there have been more male waves in companies lately but they never realize why Luxiem was a success in the first place other than being the first male corpo group. Sorry I've been absolutely useless today! I didn't sleep much, and what sleep I got was pretty awful, and I literally got through today's work day by thinking about the utawaku. Which I absolutely loved! The only criticism I have is how many times he mentioned not being a good singer, but I'm glad that he's motivated to keep going and practicing hard! I wish he'd have more confidence especially because he's improved a lot, and there's a lot of people out there who really love his voice! I could honestly listen to him sing all day. I also really like his song choices! And I love watching him sway and wiggle and have fun! He wants to do an utawaku every month and I think this may be the best timeline to be alive in.

And! He's been working really hard on mengen content recently too! He's working out a lot and he's improving his diet, after it fell off during the past few insanely busy months! I'm honestly feeling really lucky to be an assistant and I'm just really proud of him! He makes me want to be better and do better too rather than sit around being suicidally menhera like I've been today and the past few days pre-utawaku kek. it's been rough lately! Just finished watching him play Amanda the Adventurer and now I have a little bit of faith in him. I was frustrated at first because I didn’t want to him to play another possible shitty mascot horror genre but throughout the stream, I found myself finding him so cute trying to solve the puzzles and enjoying him trying to piece together the lore.
