I think we look at our own gens with a lot more criticism than others.
I can spend an hour fixing every little error in one of my gens, have perfect hands, entirely consistent clothes, nice colourful detailed eyes, correct shadows, etc and still think it's dogshit.
Then look at some random anon's 512X768 gen with 13 broken fingers, a partial third arm, random incoherent light sources, watery eyes and incorrect character details and think it's a great, crisp gen.

Yeah I feel you, I never grasped how inpainting works since every attempt I have done, just ends up the AI repeating the same problem but even worse (ex. I tried getting rid of one extra floating boot and it ended up turning into a tiny deformed version of ina instead) so I always just have to go with what the AI gives me, scuffed or otherwise. Then i see everyone make pretty amazing gens where the most flaws I can spot is that the outfit is slightly different. Makes me a little jealous even though I know what pain they must be going just to get it correct haha.

If you want to use inpainting I can give you a few tips. First things first I usually do some actual painting in like mspaint before masking shit in inpainting. Like this for the hair and skin on pircrel

And keep your prompt limited to what you're inpainting. So my prompt would be just "Nekomat Okayu, light purple hair" and I'd remove the other irrelevant parts of my original prompt (like "ass focus, thong, cat tail").
If you just want to clean up skin artifacts I just mask those and use "Masked content: fill" and a smaller amount of masked padding pixels like 75-150.
You can also keep the default settings for scale and denoising (CFG scale 7, denoising 0.75) and that might be better or wrose, YMMV.
I never bother with inpainting hands. If you want to clean those up use photshop or something.

I've been using so-vits-svc-fork. I'm on Linux/AMD, but it's designed for Windows/Nvidia. It's pretty easy to get going, just follow the steps on the page to start training, or download premade models.
Vtubers are easy mode, I use yt-dlp to rip a just talking stream and Ultimate Vocal Remover to cleanup the audio and remove bgm. After that, just let it bake for 200-500 epochs.

Similar workflow for re-dubbing a song. Just download, use ultimate vocal remover with UVR-MDX-NET Main (and a second pass using Karaoke 2 if there are backup vocals), run the vocals through so-vits-svc-fork, then recombine vocals and instrumentals in audacity. It's actually pretty easy.

WonCol is Wonton colorbox mix, I can't find it in civitai anymore. Wonton colorbox was a mix of three wonton delicacy and colourbox but i don't know the ratio as I didn't mix that.
