I mean yeah. That's literally their business model. Throw out a bunch of mediocre streamers and don't bother building them up or giving them room to breathe. Theyll likely do okay, but not great. It works from a business standpoint, but it's bullshit for the actual liver. If not for the Zaion yab I would have 100% expected at least 2 more waves to flood NijiEN. Now I'm only 70% sure that will happen.

Furthermore, I used to hate the quantity vs quality argument, because obviously there had to be some level of quality control in order to pass the auditions. Despite the insane number of livers on the JP side, I do still think it's true for them, for the most art. But EN? It's very evident they just wanted to flood the market with minimal regard for quality.

Doesn't Hololive's soulless mindless corporate structure nonetheless include a money-pot system to subsidize lagging talents with the overachieving talents' profits? If so that's at least a reason for fans to want to see any/every Holo talent succeed, since it'll directly imburse their specific oshii.
If Niji has the same thing then sure correct me. Doesn't sound like something they would though, given their known policies.

Granted I've avoided any clips with them since debut too. But that's a symptom of gen fatigue; I'm comfortable not knowing more about them and don't feel the need to add that knowledge to my mental trivia checklist.

It's weird though how people paint this as a problem with losing the western audience when the ones that have been hit the hardest on viewership are those that were trying their hardest to appeal to Chinese women for the most part. Luxiem dropped anywhere between 5-7k off their viewership numbers while the girls have lost like maybe 500-1k viewers depending on who it is.
