Bring the text into a textfile, such as gedit, or notepad. Highlight the text you'd like to delete, then press "ctrl+H". This allows you to "replace all instances" of the phrase with something else. In this case, nothing.

Not sure about the assist changes so far. Kiara's explosion is harder to follow up with than expected and not being fullscreen anymore can kinda sucks. Iroha's ninja stuff is still a bit inconsistent but it works a lot better at deterring you from jumping. Sometimes they won't do that much, sometimes they carry the opponent to the top of the screen. I did one combo that was just 2H into ninjas and that was 400 damage. The star assist is still bad for combos but at least she's good to stop air approaches. Probably good for Botan because of the rolling grenades.

Losing in other games isn't as bad because there was always something that is easy to understand that you did wrong. Losing in fighting games means you have to go through an entire manual of knowledge to see what specific frame you lost on then you just get juggled to death because you already used your one burst. If I'm being shot at in a shooter, I know, intuitively to hide. If you do a crouching light attack after blocking an attack you can still get hit even if it's supposed to be one of the fastest moves in the game. Why? Because their attack might be safe on block or some other unintuitive bullshit that forces you to sit there and continuously try to block high and low because the only useful thing in your arsenal to counter them is to use a light attack but it either doesn't reach or they are still safe so you can never regain control of the match because all of your other moves are too slow to do anything with and I just fucking hate all of it

I can tell you're new to this due to how wrong you are. BLOCK, all you have to do is BLOCK. When you see moves coming out from the opponent, you will start to see when there might be openings - then you check those openings later (or do it in training mode). You can mostly tell when something is safe with position and how long the blockstun is.
You need to win neutral, if you lose it, once again: BLOCK. Many times you can mash DP like a monkey in the middle of a blockstring that it will land for those that either delay for frame trap, those that want to go for a grab and what not. When they start fishing for your DP, good, mental stacks - now you have more breathing room even when you LOST neutral and can get your turn back when you shouldn't.

At the very least, most pokes at max range don't lead to much, at most you get a knockdown or end up plus near them. You need to get a bit closer in a poke's range to get things started generally. The only character that really breaks that rule is Botan who actually does get a full combo from pretty much any stray hit and can go from a backwards leaning 5M to an attack that moves her forward even when whiff. It's like having a Fighterz autocombo, which doesn't really suit this game well. I think one thing people don't talk about much, the normal cancel window in this game is ridiculously massive. It's not important for combos, but it is for blockstrings since you can do something like 2M, and it's impossible to be minus with good timing because you can press 5M or any H button within the window of where the move ends and frame trap people like that. I'd complain about it more but I honestly think it's the only reason Coco works as a character.

Imo, aside from lack of defensive option, especially option to use resource for really strong defense, another is how projectiles in this game doesn't disappear if the user get hit. That allow a lot of really oppressive pressure involving projectiles since they can force a trade that favor the projectile user. This is from someone who abuse suisei star a lot. The regular move easily force trade that allow suisei have a lot of advantage or straight up continue the combo. The ex-star straight up shut down reversal options such as ayame's ex dp. I think most projectiles should disappear if the user get hit with some exceptions or meaty slow projectiles are way too strong.

To be fair, Soku is an extremely different system from almost any fighter. Even how combo limits work are different. Other games try to just make it depend on just combo length or number of a specific attack used in a combo or whatever, but Soku's limit system is a bit more nuanced. I guess it doesn't hurt that any combo difficulty in that game is less about the length, but about how situational awareness for combos is much more of a thing due to the extreme movement and how hard it can be to get stray hits.

That said, I dunno what to do about the combos. My bigger complaint about the long combos is the meter gain. Like Aki hits you once, you're down half your life and she's got two bars for a reversal, and she spent nothing for that. And it's not even a hard combo, shit feels like robbery especially because she literally has no other use for meter except assists. Another example, while this is probably not worth complaining about since getting into this situation is basically impossible, but the fact that there are legitimate 6 bar combos in a game with 4 max bars comes off as ridiculous. I almost wouldn't be surprised if someone made up an 8 bar combo with how much meter you get.

I only play suisei. One of her bnb combo give 1 meter, which allows her to do the ex star 50/50 set up.
One thing GG did is for certain meter usage, such as Roman cancel, to reduce the meter gain temporarily after it being used. That kinda prevents the offense to steam roll too hard and gg is already a steam roll heavy game.
Imo, there should be a brief meter gain reduction (at least for offensive use, which is the only use right now) after meter usage to keep offense momentum from carrying away too hard. Players can cash out meter for offense and easily gain it back with the pay off.

i think it's fun, it's definitely a way to get the feel of "anime fighter" whilst being simpler than the old titles of the genre. basically everything about it is trying to make it more understandable for people lacking the weeb savant gene;
in old GG you could gatling (chain) everything freestyle which made defending a nightmare. but in GGST every character has very strict Gatling routes which is more manageable.
air dashing is much slower and limited.
Roman Cancel (spend meter to cancel and time-stop ANYTHING) now has a "hit" in combos, making it an easy combo extension tool, and like a slow down effect if you do it near to an opponent without hitting.
Counter hit an like a big meme entire screen effect shouting at you with time-stop making CH combos easy.

one of the things i dont like that makes it really tiring is many characters are "weirdo" characters with an entirely unique match-up to learn. the meta is/was kinda dominated by Happy Chaos. i have no idea what he is doing, I don't want to learn because his mechanics are some bullshit, and so i'm always going to be ignorant in the match up, it's just annoying.
i like Ky who is about as standard as it gets, and very strong, though.

on a basic shallow level, doing Roman Cancel combos is fun, and the neutral is pretty fun.
