The idol industry declined for a reason though. That same reason is why despite Hololive's massive popularity overseas, within Japan their fanbase is primarily moebutas and wotas. Idols just aren't mainstream anymore. Now as an IP Hololive is very valuable, but investors probably shouldn't have faith in Cover as a company to fully capitalize on that IP, seeing as all their worthwhile content comes from fans and is therefore difficult to profit off of. If HoloEarth or any of Cover's other harebrained projects pays off then things will be different, but relying on fans to grow your company for you is risky.
