Kiara doesn't understand memes at all, really. She's the typical pretty girl who knows everything about makeup and shoes, but is incapable of understanding her own culture's popular references. I don't actually think she's quite that, but she radiates that energy really strongly.

Kiara can speak English and Japanese, but she barely gets how reddit works, even if she browses it, she also barely gets the point of memes or english jokes in general, so I don't know how that would work. Ame would understand the memes better, but she doesn't speak Japanese, which would remove one of the main points of meme review. Mori is in the same boat as Kiara most likely, except that her Japanese is worse. Gura is also in the same boat as Ame, and I don't think Ina would even like to do it in the first place. Overall, I don't think any of them could be a good meme review host, but If I were to choose, out of the 5, I would most likely choose Kiara.

The meme review concept isn't important, it's just a vehicle for cross-cultural interaction that many fans are thirsty for. They want EN and JP talents as buddy-buddy as JP-JP and EN-EN pairings, and collabing as frequently (will never happen but I get it), and they want the cultural and language barriers between JP fans and EN fans to be torn down as low as possible.

Kiara is the only person in Hololive besides Coco, that would be fluent in both languages. It's not enough to understand the dictionary definitions, but you have to live in the culture to be aware of the nuances. Maybe Ollie can be a substitute, but Ollie is not as fluent or visible as Kiara. I don't watch Kiara's content, but I would be the first to admit she is, as of now, the real ambassador between EN and JP. Her holotalk career means she already has a lot of personal experience with JP girls.

This doesn't mean Kiara's personality or charisma is better than that of other girls, but the other girls can't even begin to qualify, if they can't fully understand the nuances of both languages. It doesn't mean the show will be as popular as before. Nor will it mean Kiara won't potentially shoot herself in the foot with something again.
